Bummer about Kimmi. I hope John didn't tell Sierra because of an outside relationship. That would be lame. Really don't understand why John had to be filled in but the same time him and Cirie were close

Agreed that everyone is playing hard! I'm having trouble deciding who my favorite is though so here are some random thoughts. The Jeff/Chelsea alliance is easily the most rootable for me and I think theyre both playing well. Crystal is a good narrator and solid addition to that duo. But I love the HBIC Steph too, a character type that's been lacking since Erica<3. Cirie is cool, but she's kinda gone of the deep end at some level too. Matty stays awesome and Tom is funny. Sierra's got game but kinda boring too.
Sad to see Kimmi go as she's sweet...Kimmi for comeback.

Bummer about Kimmi. I hope John didn't tell Sierra because of an outside relationship. That would be lame. Honestly, wouldn't surprise me. In Pure 2 Sierra went around spoiling her alias to get people to work with her. I don't really understand it since she's a pretty decent player, using outside relationships to get ahead is totally unnecessary on top of that. It's like using a wheelchair because it's easier than walking.

I haven't been as active recently, so this will be a bit longer. Some thoughts about this round and last round.
I talked about my issue with Cirie in the edgic thread, but I'll go over it again here. Just because you're playing as a black woman, trying to act "ghetto" isn't okay. I'm not very tolerant of it in the first place, but this is the second time where I've been in the VL and have seen it unfold, and it's not even funny. It's just casually racist, and leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I love Sierra and I'm not a big Amber fan. Now, watching this unfold, people on both sides came out of this looking bad. Amber assumed that Sierra and her allies voting out Kimmi was Sierra holding a grudge, building a pre-game alliance, and specifically going after Amber in others games. That really isn't true, and helps drive home Sierra's point about Amber having a big ego and making everything about her. Now, Sierra needs to drop it. Seriously, they've played together three times and constantly butt heads. If you're going to go after someone because you know who they are out of game, don't. I've done it before, and it looks so damn childish and petty after the game ends and you look back on it. There's someone I know who specifically asks if someone else has applied/is playing in a game beforehand to avoid this problem, which is a much more mature way of handling your issues with someone. It's a game, it's meant to be fun. Cut the shit. Look at Tom, for instance. Tom is friends with Sierra out-of-game and Osten out-of-game, and had no issues booting Osten and being displeased with Matty/Sierra/John's antics this past round. Tom is able to separate that, so good on him.
Jeff writes a ton, but my god, his confessionals are so strategy-oriented and bland. They lack any semblance of personality, and it's really disappointing, because he has a lot of good information. Kimmi, Matty, Crystal and Tom can all write/talk about the game and make it interesting and engaging.
I can tolerate out-of-game stuff to an extent, like in Matty's case. Matty didn't join this game with the intention of finding Sierra, teaming up with her, and winning. However, he and Sierra clicked, which was expected. It's kind of a bummer, but he makes up for it with interesting, engaging confessionals, and has been a major player. Even without Sierra, he still would be a major player. Now John is the one who is the issue. John joined a game, and it seemed like it was just coincidental that Sierra was here too, but he instantly teamed up with her, forsake his original alliance, and barely writes annnnnnything. Confessionals are more important when it comes to watching an ORG than gameplay, because how can we tell what you're doing if you don't document it? I can get IRL stuff coming up and not being an active presence, and sometimes people are too busy to say that something's going on or don't want to talk about it, but it feels like John's just going to be a vote for Sierra and won't add anything else to the season. If that's the case, then he's a wasted casting spot.

Brandon, I freakin' love that post. As someone who's been on the other side of that issue, I honestly don't think Amber's got a big ego, so much as she's just misinterpreting the facts, and frankly I don't blame her. In this case, Sierra admitted to targeting Amber for personal reasons in Pure 2, after pulling the same kind of "Hey, it's me, Host Erinn from Twisted! Let's work together!" malarkey that she's pulling here. Enough of the ingredients are the same that I don't blame Amber for feeling like it's about her. What else should she think? The same person who abused pregame relationships and targeted her for personal reasons is abusing pregame relationships and targeting her again, why should she assume that this time it's just coincidence? Have my babies for this quote. Seriously. Is there someone else that does this, or is it just me? I think that's probably the most frustrating part of pregames - players who commit game suicide for friendships. I can't tell if that's what John actually did, but the general vibe seems to indicate that it is. At least in Matty's case, he's putting in enough effort to make sure that even if he does make the end with Sierra, he's going to have a decent case to beat her. If pregaming can be done right, then that's how: go to the end with your friend, but make sure that each of you fully intends to kick the other's ass when you get there. Otherwise you're just wasting everyone's time.

Nice at Cirie getting the idol! Though it means the end for Amber. Really not a fan of this Sierra/John/Matty thing. Smells fishy. Maybe John can shed some light and prove that it wasn't all friendship based but i don't think so.
