Episode 1: Invisible (Well Me Not So Much)

It’s the first day and my tribe is not very active. Amber seems to be online the most out of everyone, but even she randomly either doesn’t respond or respond with an answer I have a tough time answering. I do like Amber and we talked a lot of survivor and life stuff yesterday, so I feel like we got close. No alliance or anything like that but the fact that she is online so much is very good.

I mean c'mon. NO ONE online? (at like 5 lol)

Alliance wise I actually kinda have a thing going. Jaime talked to me (after he made his third aim) and he said he liked me and thought I was pretty trustworthy. He ended up offering an alliance and obviously I’m not really going to say no. I do like Jaime so that certainly helps, but he is very VERY sociable and also randomly spends time offline. I talk to him in spurts which I HOPE is more than some others, but I obviously don’t know for sure. He seems to like Ozzy so that may be something to come up in the future.

Steph also talked about people not being online a lot. She mentioned that she hasn’t talked a lot with people and I am the only one she has had a real conversation with. I mean, do I believe her? Idk, she is great to talk to so I can’t imagine why she isn’t talking to everyone. But I really don’t see much of a reason for her to lie to me so early on. I basically acknowledged the not talking much with tribe thing because the group chat has been DEAD. We really have not had a very interesting group chat. I definitely can try to liven it up more I am sure, but I do kinda want to be careful about saying too much and making myself look threatening. I already am making myself look sociable by talking to everyone as much as possible.

This challenge is kinda lame for a first one lol. I am not going to complain because I know how much work goes into planning everything and honestly this challenge isn’t THAT bad. Basically I am here to play and I am going to try enduracning this for a bit. I knew I was probably going to end up being a predator because so many wanted to be prey. I don’t really mind considering I will probably just have the page auto-refreshing while I watch some past survivor seasons or something. What I am worrying about is how the rest of my tribe is going to perform in this challenge. Amber and Ozzy as the other predators should hopefully be good. Amber will def be around to refresh but not 100% on Ozzy. He said he would be around the next day essentially. Well that’s good! I plan on being up until like 5 and I guess I will have to pick a time to set my alarm to so I can wake up and try to continue this.

Honestly I haven’t exactly been the MVP so far. Green tribe is winning thanks to what I like to call “black magic.” I don’t know a ton about proboards, which may put me in a minute disadvantage because I’m not sure how the users online list is supposed to work. Whenever I test it out myself, I log out and still show up on the users online list for a bit. When JEFF and TOM log on to post for the challenge, they log off and disappear from the list completely! Steph got eliminated because she accidentally logged on and even tried to close out and log out. She still was on the list so she got capped and didn’t get to post anything in time (because she was on mobile which was having a spaz). I think the best strategy, if we can’t figure out the black magic, would be to basically spam post. Someone gets the code ready and the link to the page, and then someone just pastes the code in the quick reply and hope for the absolute best. Cirie was doing that and it worked well for her, basically catching up to the green tribe,

Currently as I am typing this it is late and I am going to have to leave. That means no one from the red team will be online, which sucks. I hope we can pull out the win because I don’t want to go to tribal if I can help it with this idol twist in play.

I didn’t get a chance to talk about this in my pregame thing because I kinda forgot. I HATE this twist lol. I like finding idols (even though I usually suck at using/dealing with them) so not having an idol for me to possibly find is a little disappointing. Yes, that means no one else can find them either, which is cool. But now someone RANDOMLY gets the idol. This places a HUGE responsibility on luck. What if an inactive gets the idol? We can all vote someone and they whip out the idol and someone (probably me because that’s a thing that would happen) get’s sent home in 1 vote. That adds lots of strategy to things, so should make things interesting even at these early stages.

Update: So Crystal is using PEDs lol. I fell asleep before I ended up posting this because it was really late and I wanted people to have a chance to read my pregame thoughts and stuff. Since then Amber made me laugh a lot with her “argument” with Shane, Steph offered a 3 way alliance with Ed and I, and it looks like we will be going to tribal barring Jaime becoming an invisible (but not ACTUALLY invisible) post beast. He seems to know a bit of the black magic that is proboards so there is WEE bit of hope there.

The alliance offer from Steph actually took me by surprise a bit just because I had recently gotten up and saw the PM. I talked to Ed a very little bit so I was surprised he included me in the threesome proposal, but I’m not mad lol. So that means my alliance list as stands is:

Twosome: Jaime
Threesome: Edgardo and Steph

I’ll probably have more to say after this unfortunately inevitable loss. Vote wise I’m guessing Parv or Ozzy will be the target. I would kinda rather it be Parv because she isn't online much and somehow got herself DQ'ed from the challenge, so I guess we will see about that. I’m not particularly worried rn with making multiple alliances because swaps are almost inevitable in these things so it is unlikely, at least I think, that I will have to turn on anyone anytime soon.

So we 100% lost that challenge. Oh well bummer, have to vote out someone that didn’t really show up. Luckily I don’t feel at risk because I have talked to everyone and shown I am pretty active. I also don't think we exactly have a “hyperactive” tribe who wants to make big moves and stuff, so it is safe to say a relative inactive will be the one getting snuffed tonight.

Amber was the first person I talked to about the vote and at first she was very vague saying something like “Yeah, I think one person has put no effort into this game.” Then she started talking about a “he” and “not watching the screen every minute” so I “deducted” she was talking about Ozzy.

I actually kinda liked Ozzy from the one convo I had with him, so I feel bad but she has a point. At least Parvati showed up and Ozzy hasn’t talked to me or anyone since. So I submitted my vote and was basically done with it. Ozzy messaged me at night and I felt kinda bad and didn’t know how to respond, so I ignored him lol. Well I wake up early next morning (to see Fallout 4 be confirmed) and I have messages waiting for me from Jaime and Steph, both of whom said they were cool with voting Ozzy when I asked them yesterday. Granted, Steph said she liked Ozzy but she didn’t really care between voting him and Parvati. Jaime hadn’t talked to Ozzy yet so he was cool with either him or Parv as well.



Well that changed this morning. Steph and Jaime both said they wanted to change the vote from Ozzy to Parvati. I honestly really don’t care either way, if anything I would lean to keep Ozzy because I enjoyed my convo with him. That is basically a majority if Jaime, Ozzy, Steph and I all vote Parvati. Steph brought up that Ed would vote him too considering out whole threesome alliance thing.

Of course I don’t want to leave anyone out of the loop because tribal unity is pretty important here, so I talked to Amber and let her know things seemed to be changing with everyone else. She didn’t seem too mad about it, so I am pretty certain Parvati is getting eliminated tonight.



“But the idol twist Matty? What if she has the idol?”

Well my friends, I know Parvati doesn’t have the idol. Or at least I THINK I know. I had Steph come to be saying she was the one with the idol. She said she trusts me the most and likes how we are basically the only 2 active people on the tribe (not 100% true but I’ll go with it). So looks like I have a friend and someone who trusts me.

Honestly I think I have been quite friendly. I have been very open with people about talking to others to make it seem like I am giving them info that the people I am talking about aren’t getting. I promised Steph I would not say anything about her idol which I certainly intend on keeping. It’s just one round anyway, can’t be a big deal. HOPEFULLY we either win this next challenge or I get the idol.



Actually, I think Jaime would tell me if he had the idol so that helps. Not sure about Amber, I feel like we are close but neither of us have actually proposed anything official. It isn’t my thing and idk if it is hers either. I do still like talking to her and her forum posts are quite funny, she just seems very reserved in AIM chats.
