Well as I have my forum homepage in the background refreshing, I may as well start writing my first confesh.
So heeeeeeeeeey guys. I’m still relatively new to ORGs but I have started to get pretty involved. I guess a few alias highlights can include Amanda Kimmel from EpicSbb3 (final juror), Alec from Good and Evil 9 (also um, final juror), and Host Chelsea from the Twisted series. This is actually the first time I have played on proboards, so this should be exciting.
I consider myself to be a pretty strategic player but at the same time play at least sorta emotionally. The way I would explain my general gameplay would be emotionally but still aware enough that I know when I need to get into gamebot mode.
Challenge wise I am pretty decent. There is no specific challenge I am best at but I consider myself a bit of a jack-of-all-trades. Mostly what I try doing is outsmarting the challenge, rather than being able to go all out and perform really well on face value. Obviously that can’t be done for everything, but when it can be done I try to.
Socially I generally am very out there and friendly and I try to form legitimate and strong bonds with people. The social aspect of ORGs is easily my favorite, so I like to take advantage of the opportunity to talk to so many different people.
But who am I going to be this time? Who is Matty? Well ladies and gentlemen, I am going to try and take on a bit of a persona. For those of you who watch Football (the American kind) you may know of a quarterback from the Falcons named Matt Ryan. Well, his nickname is something I want replicate:
So the goal is to try to be as coooooool as possible. It’s obviously not the greatest idea to solely just go all over the place in these types of games and being an emotional wreck. I am talking more about staying cool in sensitive moments. Knowing what the correct decision to make is in a sensitive situation, knowing when to vote who, basically trying my best to stay calm and make the right moves when I need to. In one ORG, I literally spent like 2 hours thinking to myself about what vote I should make. I made a colorful spreadsheet and everything! So great and strategic and stuff (I tend to go a little overboard sometimes).
So that’s a bit of a description of me, I should probably talk about what I think of the other players on my tribe:
First person I talked to. We were the only ones online when the group chat became a thing and I can tell that she is probably going to be online a lot. I talked to her and she seems very nice, but unfortunately her answers can be a little boring and don’t carry on the conversation. I tried my best to and tried to seem very personable, I just hope I wasn’t TOO personable with her and made her think I was too aggressive or something. We ended up waiting a while for anyone else to show up.
Second person to talk to! I actually really like Steph. She seems to be fairly personable and knows how to carry on a conversation. As long as I am not the only one contributing, I am pretty happy. She seems to be online a bunch, but nearly as much as Amber or I quite yet.
The fact this guy has made like 3 AIMS already is kinda sad lol. I feel bad for him that he keeps getting super unlucky with his messenger accounts. He was VERY sociable and REALLY moved convos along. He was one of the few people to actually utilize out tribe group chat. I thought he came on a little strong at times, but that was basically it.
From “Uruguay.” He said he didn’t know English very well and was a native Spanish speaker. Is it bad I don’t believe him? Lol. I think I have become too paranoid with these kinds of games. I heard from someone that they played an entire game speaking Spanglish and pretending not know how to speak English very well. He was brought to the end as goat and was faking the entire time. I REALLY hope that isn’t the case here and he is actually a new ORG player, but I don’t have a ton of hope.
I was up at literally 5 AM because I am crazy and have an awful sleep schedule when she first popped into the group chat. I found out she was from Australia and we talked for a little bit while I was half asleep and writing stuff. So her timezone is not incredible and apparently she is coming back from a bit of an ORG hiatus, but I doubt many people on my tribe have much of a relationship with her.
Ozzy literally only just showed up earlier today before the challenge. Talking to him briefly he seemed like a cool guy, but it was still weird he only just got a chance to log in and talk to everyone. It will be interesting to see if his late start is going to affect anything.
But that is my tribe. I have talked to everyone and tried to make some sort of bond. I am hoping I didn’t try too hard and make myself look like a threat so early on, but making bonds is important at the beginning so it is something I know I have to do. No cross tribal communication actually makes things easier for me because I am less pressured to talk to everyone on the cast. I know it can be a problem if there is a swap and I am in a minority, but that is something for future Matty to deal with.
Until then, I think this is pretty good. I want to think of some sort of theme to do for confessionals and their titles because I think it will be fun. I like writing confessionals and I consider myself to at least be pretty okay with telling a story and giving a synopsis on my situation. If you have any suggestions feel free to suggest them, I don’t mind
