F7 is a fabled time in survivor lore to make a big move. Is what I plan on doing this round a big move? Not so sure.
It definitely seems like the predictable move though. It is time to vote for Tom. I think I have made it pretty clear these last few round that my intention was to always stick with Steph and Joaquin with Sierra. Step one of getting our alliance to the F4 is to vote out someone who is a threat and can still get an idol: Tom.
Well the round started off with us basically hoping that he would not get the idol. Luckily Joaquin got it, but we are still nervous about Steph because of last round. What we told Steph was that Sierra has the idol, so she can't pressure Joaq into playing it if she wants to make a big move. It appears that she is telling him what she is thinking and he in turn tells Sierra and I. I feel like if Steph wanted to flip on us, Joaq would let us know.
But because of Joaq's idol Sierra and I figured that as long as one of us is safe this round by winning this challenge, we would be in excellent shape. Well I got 2nd for the 2nd round in a row and Sierra got the win (with that blazing speed, geez). So I now recognize that if Joaq isn't the target, I probably will.
The thing is, I see no reason to lie about voting Tom. We have the idol, why lead them on? So I told Chelsea and Varner that I was going to vote Tom and they seemed to agree to it. It's obvious Chelsea doesn't want to vote for Tom and asked me if she was next. I didn't think so because I kinda liked Chelsea, but I do also like Varner. I told her I didn't think she was the nest target but I wasn't sure. It makes more sense for her to be because she can still get the idol after next round, which would be tragic. I felt bad after realizing that, but it is sorta hard to take it back now.
I also realized that on a personal level I do actually really like Varner. He's a very cool dude and I love to talk with him, but on a game level we just don't match up. He started telling Chelsea and Sierra that I told him I was voting Tom, which I had not done yet. I had mentioned to Varner about the possibility of voting of Joaquin, but nothing about Tom. He also has apparently gone to Joaquin and probably Steph asking to possible group up to form a F4 with them and Chelsea.
Joaq is telling us all this so it's good to hear and I'm glad he trusts us enough to tell us. Apparently Varner went as far as to bring up my name for this round to vote for, which obviously isn't great. Hopefully Steph doesn't buy into it because Joaquin playing the idol on me is going to burn the bridge with Steph, making next round a 3 v 3. I am hoping Sierra and I choosing to align with them is going to prevent Steph from thinking about voting for me, but I guess we won't know for sure until later. I hope I don't see my name, but unfortunately I think I may see it at least once. I don't plan on lying my way out of this vote though, I don't think that is necessary and I do still intend on playing to win.
