Alright, so let me preface this by saying I am NOT by any means usually an arrogant player. Generally I am very middle-of-the-road-y, self-deprecating, and I try my best with being humble and stuff. One, because I don’t want to look like an ass in my confessionals and two, when I am wrong about something I don’t want to seem like I am so out of the loop and have no idea what is going on. But……..I think this season may be a bit different for me lol. I may try messing around with the quietly cocky and arrogant thing and see how it works out. If it doesn’t meh, if it does and I seem like a “cool” (that is going to be annoying for you after a while) character I will be happy.
So last round saw Parv get the boot. For the 2 seconds she was still in the group chat she was a bit upset, but was promptly removed. First victim…….
I really wish I could talk about having lots of social interactions after the vote, but I really didn’t get to talk much. I talked to Amber more and got closer to her personally. I am starting to like Amber a lot but I am a bit worried about how the rest of the tribe may perceive her.
I do know Steph hasn’t talked to her much which is a slight issue considering I am supposed to have an alliance with her, and I also really like Steph. It’s funny how both girls are telling me about how I am around and active and they are around and active, but no one else really is. I mean, I’m glad that they think I am active (I think) so they want to be closer to me.
Amber officially proposed an alliance with me (after we awkwardly shuffled around the idea of asking for like 5 minutes. It was cute). I of course said yes so now I am officially in an alliance with everyone on my tribe except for Ozzy. Fuuuuun times for Matty.
I like Ozzy too so I feel kinda bad I have nothing going with him. I have no idea if anyone does tbh which makes me a little worried. I would THINK he is the definitive next boot if we lost, but I really don’t know.
I know Steph kinda likes Ozzy so she may not be ok with it.
Jaime I really don’t know and I feel like I should talk to him way more. I like Jaime but he is SO bubbly. Like, I love it and he’s a nice guy and all, but he goes a bit overboard. In conversation he was REALLY trying to move along to lots of different topics. I need to pick his brain a bit strategy wise considering we are supposed to be a tight pair.
And Amber would probably be fine voting out Ozzy, considering she almost did last round. Everything of course still depends on challenge results and if we have a swap next round.
So this challenge………….
I hated seeking when I played this challenge once before (in twisted 3) and I was really bad at finding the items. Initially, I thought I may be the only person on my tribe to show up. It was getting closer to the deadline where Amber, Ozzy, and Jaime also showed themselves. I have no idea where Ed was and Steph mentioned she is kinda busy and leaving town over the weekend (more on that later).
So I’m NOT by myself and the live challenge is underway. I basically take the memory wall because I know stuff is going to be there. I found 2 pics there and was pretty happy with myself, but I noticed that the rest of my tribe was really killing it with the finding and guessing of people. I was a little annoyed they didn’t format the posts like we were asked to (not hard guys) but that is just me being finicky. I wasn’t amazing at guessing the contestants but the rest of my tribe had that covered. So time is winding down and I decide to look at the challenge 1 posts board, figuring something is bound to be in that mess of spam posts. Low and behold with 3 minutes left I find a tie-dye pick. I initially type in Rupert but someone else brings up it looks more like a T-shirt so therefore it is Laura B. Well I put it in and we were done. 3 points worth with 3 minutes left.
Well, it turns out that was clutch. We win the challenge; by THREE POINTS. Woot! Coming in clutch just like my NFL counterpart.

So now no tribal council for me and I am H-A-P-P-Y. Oh and also, I got the idol for this round! So that was cool. Obviously I couldn’t use it, but I was happy that I at least got to “hold” onto it for a bit. I literally haven’t had a chance to tell anyone I had it, so I haven’t told my numerous alliances yet.

I did actually get to tell Amber right after we made out deal. I don’t mind telling her at all honestly because I don’t see how it can hurt me except that she knows I won’t have the idol next round. Literally, as long as Ozzy doesn’t get it I think I will be told if someone has an idol. I don’t want to sound like I think I am in control of my tribe or anything. I recognize that because I am so active (compared to everyone else) I can very well be putting a target on my back. I am hoping I have socially gotten myself involved with enough people to an acceptable level that I should be set for a bit. I don’t feel like I am in danger QUITE yet, but I am worried about the next vote I have to attend.
Steph hasn’t talked to Amber much and I kinda see both as my closest allies (no offense to Jaime). Ed said something about targeting Ozzy and then Jaime because Amber is good at challenges. I guess I would be ok with that? Have to wait and see what the situation looks like. I swap is bound to happen either this round or the next one, so have to wait and see how that goes. Until I do more, Matty Ice out!
